BUBAMARA BRASS BAND ON “WILD MINT” AUTHOR: PAVEL LEBEDEV

Melody for soul, dance for body! It is with this mood that the musicians of the Bubamara Brass Band enter the stage. Among the Moscow bands that draw inspiration from the musical heritage of the Balkans and from the films of Kusturica, this band is perhaps the brightest. Every musician in the Bubamara Brass Band is a maestro. They have an impressive experience of playing with Butman and Lundstrem, in the Presidential Orchestra and in many club projects. They have not become ossified in dusty jazz standards and their music contains many vivid and energetic improvisations, in which all the colors of life flourish.

Recently they released their third album “Zemlja Bubarumija”, and this disc has become a real gift for those who like to erase their heels to the music of the Balkans. Here it is, the fabulous land of Bubarumija from the height of the flight of a ladybug, very close, as in the palm of your hand. A hot summer day in an unnamed Serbian village, a quiet tiny white church, warm sea, green mountains, love and songs - the Bubamara Brass Band will tell you the best about it. They will perform at Wild Mint on the day of Balkanika.

заводные звуки Гучи...
улицы интимно узкие-
столкновенья будут жгучими)

Неизбежность встречи признана
с двух бунтующих сторон.
Под каштановою призмою
приломился меди звон.

Встречи-ближе,чем дозволено-
что с того-живем лишь раз!
неприлично-своевольные,
затеваем этно-пляс.
